I bought this card reader because I have an older sony Cyber shot camera that my windows vista dose not support any more, Now I just take out the memory stick and put it in the card reader and then I can transfer all my Photos on to the computer.
Maybe it's just me, but this thing is as slow as molasses in January. I have it connected to a high-speed port with a high-speed card but the tranfer rate is pitiful. I've also had a lot of failures because of the slow transfer speed when I move a large file. If you don't mind starting your file transfer operation and heading out to Starbucks for coffee and then coming back, it's great.
