So, I don't use this as much as I would like to, but the times I have needed it it was a real life-saver. The solar panel will completely charge the built in battery, which will charge my phone twice before needing to be recharged. You can charge this battery from a regular power source, but the solar panel is nice if you camp, or live somewhere the power goes out frequently. Also, this is a good gift for the person who has everything because they probably haven't thought of this yet.

The item is smaller than I expected and seems to work well, but it won't charge a Veer phone. Interestingly, even though it is below the amp rating it would provide some power to a Touchpad, though I wouldn't recommend using it for charging tablets.
